The office of civil rights called OCR is an absolute Joke. Lets look at it's policies first. A student who was either discriminated against because of race or disability turns to OCR as a last resort hoping for help. They file a complaint then it is given to an investigator. In return the Investiagor asks for more clarifiction for more detailed questions they talk to you once or twice. You think you have help in your corner. Then the investigator contacts the school with "Kid gloves on" then the college ensures that they will do a resolution agreement. The college does a "voluntary" resolutiuon agreement. They take the students complaint but they dont resolve the issue for what is a fair resolution. Absolutely not they only make a resolution that benefits them. Then the investigator says okay great, then gives it to the OCR attorney who doesnt read it but signs it. Then the problem is considered resolved. At no time does the college or school contact the student and say look let's try to resolve this issue together. Nor does OCR hold the school responsible for anything they did. The entire resolution agreement is designed to say look lets try to make this problem not occur next time, but it really doesnt do that. The problem is OCR. The only requirement OCR has is if the college does a resolution agreement it really doesnt matter what is in it or what isnt in it because it is only required that you do one. So the end result is that the student is the one that is literally screwed over. Its a Sham. Fake, frivilous, scam. The ones it benefits are the lazy employees for OCR. They really dont work that hard because they know they stand for nothing. They is no Civil Rights, it's a fake illusion to make it appear like it is. Example if a student was on the baseball team and tore his rotator cuff and had to miss class for 3 days to have an operation the school policy was no make up period. Now there new resolution agreement says "a student can have an excused absence but they cannot make up the work" what good is the excused absence? see, this is an example. If a student disagrees with the resolution agreement then David Campbell will send you a letter saying we will review your resolution agreement that your appealing. But what they do is give it back to the same investigator and same attorney that signed off on it to begin with. Its a big game. If a student contacts a U.S. Senator then it will go to Arthur Goldman who will call you to shut you up and promise to help you as long as you keep you lid closed. Then never call you back. Its one big game that the one who gets screwed is the student. As a Democrat I am dissapointed that Obama handed over Russlynn Ali this position.
Clearly she has made the OCR from the Dept of Education one big scam. Students should not waste their time on doing a resolution agreement. Most of the colleges or schools will give the resolution agreement to their attorney on retainer who will design the resolution agreement that stacks the cards against the student. The college doesnt have to resolve the issue or prevent it from happenening in the fure the only thing they are required to do is just do a resolution agreement anyway they feel it should be done with 0 input from the student. This is why Russlynn Ali should be fired. Everyone at OCR love's their jobs, because they can do what ever they want, when ever they want. Because they know they getting paid to do nothing and they know it. Example Maria North admitted that she signs resolution agreements that she doesnt read. Most of the people who work for OCR have been there 20+ years and are dinosaurs who are so out of touch with reality that should be forced to retire. If Obama cared he would restructure this department firing the majority starting fresh. Example the Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis use to yell at his son Mark serious. When Al died still no one respected Mark. So Mark became the new owner and the first thing he did was he fired everyone. Why? because he knew those people could not respect him because he was yelled at everyday. He had to show he is in charge and fired everyone. Even though Hue Jackson was a great coach, Hue felt he had more authority over Mark. See Obama needs to fire these lazy, old broken records, like Steve Stathan. Who when he talks to a student he patronizes them to shut them up. OCR has more holes in it than their is casinos in Las Vegas. Students if you have an issue with a school going to OCR is a big mistake. A waste of your time your hope. You think these people are going to help you? LOL you have a better change of swimming in the everglades with 9 foot alligators and Burmese Pythons than actally getting help at OCR. OCR knows the moment they take a case they know they have 0 intentions of ever helping you. The problem is you dont know this. Arthur Goldman knows this, that is why he loves his job. Calls you "yes we will help you dont worry we are looking into this" then never calls you back. You have a better chance of winning the powerball lottery than getting help from OCR. I have never seen a student write OCR thanking them for getting a problem resolved. Imagine we live in a society that if a criminal robbed your house that he can write a resolution agreement that next time he will not rob your house and not be punished for what he did? This is how it is designed for all the colleges and schools,
